Eight layers
Every verification starts with an incident. RealCapture issues a unique, time-limited link bound to that incident, so evidence is captured in context and can't be casually reused across cases.
Recipients open the link in their mobile browser and capture directly through the camera — no app install, no account. Uploading files from a gallery is not part of the flow.
Each session receives unpredictable instructions — tilt, pan, move closer. Because challenges are generated at capture time, prerecorded footage becomes much harder to pass off.
Where the device exposes them, motion sensors are recorded alongside the video. RealCapture compares the physical movement with the visual movement in the frames.
Forensic models look for indicators of editing, compositing, and synthetic generation — compression inconsistencies, lighting irregularities, and generation artifacts.
Submissions are compared against signals of screen re-capture and against previously submitted evidence to surface suspicious similarities.
Signals are combined into a score from 0 to 100 with supporting findings that explain which indicators contributed — so reviewers can make informed decisions.
Teams review incidents in a dashboard or receive results programmatically via REST API and webhooks, governed by company-level policies and roles.
Sensor fusion
When a phone moves, its gyroscope and accelerometer record that movement. The frames should move the same way. RealCapture compares the two streams to check whether the capture behaves like a real, live recording.

Output
RealCapture's assessment is based on the evidence and signals available for each capture. It is designed to support human decision-making — it does not guarantee that content represents a real event.
